INTRODUCING...

KAEL BRADLEY OWENS

Kael was born Sept. 12 @12:30 p.m. weighing 7 pounds and 2 ounces and a head full of hair.
I woke up Wed. morning at 5:00 a.m feeling contractions so I started to time them out. I woke Penn up telling him "I think this is the day". I showered, got things ready and by 8:00 we were headed to the hospital. I was checked in and given an exam and I was dilated to a 10. They called my midwife and by 9:00 I was pushing. I decided to do it natural. Wow, I have never been in such pain,I pushed for 3 1/2 hours. He was posterior and didn't want to come out. Finally I guess he knew that I was exhausted that he came out. He is a healthy, beautiful baby boy. We are both doing well, happy and tired.

Kim,
WOW! He is so beautiful! I love that hair. You rock. You must have an amazing tolerance for pain. I think that is awesome that you were able to have a natural birth. What did you think(besides all the pain)? I love his name. My sister was just telling me the other day that she heard that name somewhere and I love it. Kim you guys will be excellent parents. I am so happy for you. I have a gift for you from Jeri. Hopefully I will get it to you before he is grown up and moved out. Congratulations.

How precious! I can't believe I'm not there to hold him! It sounds like things went great (minus the 3 1/2 hours of pushing). We are so excited for you guys. You must post lots of photos. Best of Luck!

Yeah! Congratulations super woman! I can't believe you did it natural. He is absolutely beautiful. I hope you guys are doing well. You are going to fabulous parents. I must admit I'm a little jealous of your labor, the pushing however, sounded like no fun. I want to see you and Kael soon!

Kim- This weekend my family went up to Park City to stay a couple of days. It is so beautiful and cold up there. How is your house coming along? I kept looking around at all the beautiful homes up there, I bet you are excited to be in your home or soon to be moving into it. Good Luck with everything, moving is sure a joy!!! Yes have fun dressing cute little Kael for Halloween, it is lots of fun. I'm sure you are enjoying motherhood, but also wondering how you can make it another day without much sleep. On the positive side your body kicks into super mom mode and you just make it and on the negative side you probably will not enjoy a full night rest until the kids are out of the house!
Hey hope you don't mind I am adding your blog to my list so I don't have to go to Kim or Jeri's first. Have a good day.
